Mauro is one of the nicest people we’ve ever met. In Lisbon, he was gracious to share numerous bottles of his wine with us at one long, very Portuguese dinner just outside the city. He talked about how he cared deeply for the vineyards that he used for his small production project, Artisans Terroir, and how each wine was meticulously crafted with sustainability and quality in mind.
Now, a few of these wines are pouring at Le Bon Funk, Wine Mouth and a few other places. The Cabernet Sauvignon from this winery is one of the best in youth I’ve ever tasted. The wines have never been exported before they arrived in Singapore about 6 months ago. These are small - and by small, just a few hundred bottles each wine - production wines, made from both local varieties such as Viosinho and Touriga Nacional, but also he crafts amazing world-class expressions of international varieties like Chardonnay (in a pet-nat style), Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc.

This 100 percent Chardonnay sees 6 months in oak barrel before being transferred to bottle. This has beautiful citrus on the nose, meringue and bright texture on the palate. The finish is soft, with great minerality. A beautiful sparkler that will be certain to making you want more.
